Oil

The extra virgin olive oil of Lake Garda in 1997 obtained the recognition of the Protected Designation of Origin from the European Union (DOP). Its characteristics make it unique and easily distinguishable from any other oil: a naturally delicate and elegant flavor, a light and balanced aroma, a scent of fresh grass, a light smell of hay and a very recognizable almond aftertaste.Its great versatility makes it good to be used raw, for example on a warm homemade bread or on a fresh salad; or for cooking, with recipes based on lake fish, meat, carpaccio and vegetables. And surprise even in combination with desserts, especially ice cream and chocolate.Only the olives produced in the provinces of Brescia, Verona, Mantua and Trento can be used for the production of DOP olive oil of Garda, the production chain is extremely strict and controlled. In fact, all the packages placed on the market must have the numbered mark that allows to trace the origin of the product.
