Sirmione

It is also called "The Pearl of  Garda" and perhaps it really is. The special feature of Sirmione is its position on a narrow peninsula, which makes it appear as if it's almost completely surrounded by water. If we add to this the strong stone walls enclosing the town, the Spa baths and the Roman ruins of the "Grotte di Catullo" we can definitely say that it is one of the must-see places on Lake Garda.
